Chris Atkinson brings 25 years of commercial real estate experience across a broad range of commercial real estate disciplines. His background includes the completion of over 750 sale and lease transactions with an aggregate value of over $800,000,000. A large component of Chris’ career has also included the acquisition and development of industrial, office, business parks, mixed-use and multi-family residential properties with a total market value exceeding $600,000,000. This experience has provided Chris with the unique ability to understand real estate from an owner’s perspective in the development, acquisition, brokerage and management of commercial real estate.
Prior to forming Pacific Property Partners, Chris served as President of the Charles Dunn Company leading over 100 employees in 9 offices throughout Southern California, San Francisco, San Diego and Phoenix. During his tenure with Charles Dunn, Chris coordinated the formation of a vertical platform of services including brokerage, property and asset management, financial services and landlord and tenant representation practices. Chris implemented a detailed plan focused on increasing production through a high-level, revised approach geared to providing clients with a fully integrated menu of real estate services. He also uncovered and eliminated operational inefficiencies and redundancy resulting in significant bottom line profitability.
Chris began his commercial real estate career as a broker with CBRE representing buyers/tenants, owners and developers. After 10 years, Chris expanded his skills when recruited by Trammell Crow to grow its national scope of brokerage and development services in the Inland Empire region. After a number of years with Trammell Crow Company, Chris co-founded Bates Development Company. Chris and his partners entitled, developed and owned numerous mixed-use, office, multi-family and industrial properties along with the acquisition and entitlement of several hundred acres throughout southern California. Chris also directed all the brokerage and management services. His talents and entrepreneurial spirit have allowed him to succeed in a wide variety of organizations and business roles. He prides himself on promoting an enjoyable and productive workplace founded on team and individual goal achievement, but most of all trying to outperform his client’s expectations. Chris has received numerous achievement awards, led educational seminars, and been a featured speaker at industry events.
Barry Beitler has been involved in commercial real estate since 1974 and founded Beitler Commercial Realty Services in 1979. From a one room start-up to five offices and approximately 100 agents, Beitler Commercial Realty Services has evolved into one of the largest, independently owned commercial brokerage and consulting firms in Southern California.
Barry has served as the exclusive leasing or selling agent on over 10,000,000 square feet of office space. In addition, his accomplishments in exclusive tenant representation for lease or purchase are in excess of 3,000,000 square feet. He and the firm currently represent many of the larger lease and sale transactions in the marketplace today.
Past and present clientele that Barry has served as the exclusive broker or consultant include the Resolution Trust Corporation in the sale of the Columbia Savings, Brookside Savings and Pima Savings portfolios, Hughes Aircraft Company, Bank of America, Northwest Airlines, Warner Brothers, and Salick Health Care, Inc. From a landlord's perspective, Barry has represented the likes of The Koll Company, Kennedy Wilson, Inc., Nansay Corporation, USAA Realty, First Credit Bank, and Manufacturers Bank.
A great emphasis of Barry’s business is in the representation of entertainment clients. Many of the major lease and sales transactions in Southern California on behalf of the entertainment industry have been transacted by Barry. Major recent transactions include the representation of Sidney Sheinberg and his new Bubble Factory firm, The David Geffen Companies, Rhino Entertainment, Irving Azoff/Ticketmaster, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), ESPN, The Samuel Goldwyn Foundation, Walt Disney Company, Crown International Pictures, Universal Studios, Price Entertainment Company, Warner Brothers, and well-known entertainment law firms Gang Tyre Ramer & Brown and Ziffren, Brittenham & Branca.
Barry and/or the firm is presently engaged in the following professional affiliations and activities: AIR (American Industrial Real Estate Association), ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers), and SIOR (Society of Office & Industrial Realtors). He was also the founder & 1994 President of GVA Worldwide, and a current Principal in TCN Worldwide.
Barry has also acted as a principal in a buying or developing capacity on numerous transactions throughout California and the United States.
Director of Client Relations
Melani Atkinson brings her “second-to-none” client base to Pacific Property Partners as Director of Client Services. After 17 years of leading the business development platforms for large international commercial real estate firms, Melani has developed an extensive network of clients, including private and institutional property owners, brokers and other service providers. Melani has the unique ability of building not only long lasting client relationships, but also friendships. Her tireless pursuit to satisfy her clients has earned Melani an impeccable reputation within the industry.
Melani had ties to the commercial real estate industry as early as the late 1980’s. Several decades later, Melani has expanded the client base and generated hundreds of millions in revenue for international architectural and construction firms. No one is more involved, knowledgeable, and active in the commercial real estate industry within southern California. Melani also is active throughout northern California and the Pacific Northwest.
Melani received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at California State University, Los Angeles. She is married with 3 children and 2 step-children. Melani enjoys tennis, cooking, hiking, nature, skiing, travel and ranching.
Director of Acquisitions/Brokerage Services
Craig Cardella joins Pacific Property Partners as Director of Acquisitions/Brokerage Services. He brings his expertise of identifying land and/or underutilized land in suburban infill neighborhoods suitable for multifamily, mixed use and commercial development or redevelopment opportunities. With over ten years in project management and investments, Craig excels in bringing buyers and sellers together in off market transactions.
Prior to joining Pacific Property Partners in 2014, Craig worked at boutique real estate firm John Aaroe Group in Pasadena. Earlier, Craig had a successful career in mergers and acquisitions with Stephens & Partners. Stephens & Partners is a private investment merchant bank that specializes in merger and acquisition services to public and private corporations and private equity groups. Craig provided a comprehensive range of advisory services for both buyers and sellers of middle market companies operating across a broad range of industries.
Craig received his Bachelor of Science from California Polytechnic University of Pomona with a major in International Business.
